Accredited Courses Kendal school of upholstery is delighted to be able to offer 2 seven week courses which enable the learner to gain a formal qualification in the craft of traditional upholstery. Over the period of 7 weeks in the workshop students will follow an assessed syllabus of work set by the AMUSF to gain a nationally recognised qualification, one which they can carry forward into the workplace and beyond! The level 2 Craft Certificate will equip the learner with the skills necessary to carry out work on the majority of upholstered items. By completing a variety of practical upholstery projects Students will gain the confidence to build on their knowledge of the craft independently. The Level 3 Craft Certificate is a progression from level 2 and is more specifically aimed at those wanting to gain the skills necessary to start their own upholstery business. Whilst further developing upholstery skills through the completion of complex modern and traditional projects you will also learn about aspects of the day to day running of a business such as costing, quoting and British Safety Standards. The cost of the accredited courses is £360 per week plus materials. There is also a registration fee of £58.
